Muso is becoming Surreal

We’re beginning to migrate all customers to our new product, Surreal, as a result we have discontinued the old Muso website.

Please read the FAQs at the bottom of this page about the migration.

If you are a new venue, entertainer or agent, please sign up to Surreal instead here.

Here are some useful questions and answers about Muso changing to Surreal for Venues. Entertainers can see some below. If your query isn't addressed here, feel free to contact our team anytime.

Why am I still using Muso instead of Surreal?

Due to some of the original Muso features not being available on Surreal just as yet, AVC venues have been kept on Muso while we work to build all necessary features. This shouldn’t take much longer and you should be booking through Surreal in no time!

What is the difference between Muso and Surreal?

We acknowledge that the original Muso had a few flaws. These flaws came after layer upon layer of detail was added onto our original product. The new Surreal platform is just like Muso. It’s just been given a much-needed makeover and an engine upgrade under the hood. We’ve kept the best bits of Muso and removed the worst bits.

This new platform is faster, easier to use, and packs much more of a punch. It’s been tried and tested in the UK and NZ and is now used by hundreds of venues globally. It’s now ready to launch in Australia

Can I still invite new artists to Muso?

Yes, you can use Muso as normal until it is time to migrate.

What do I need to do to migrate to Surreal?

In the coming months we will be switching off Muso and everyone will be using Surreal.

Can I move my venue to Surreal immediately?

You will need to discuss this with your area manager or with AVC head office.

Entertainer FAQs

Why am I still using Muso?

If you are booked by a venue that has chosen to stay on Muso until the very end, their bookings will remain on Muso and subsequently your gigs will also be on Muso. When all venues have migrated to Surreal, we will close off Muso.

When will I be migrating to Surreal?

You can migrate to Surreal right away if you wish! All you need to do is head to https:// surreal.live and create your entertainer profile.

What will happen to my gig data?

Muso will slowly be eventually shut down, and moving forward all bookings will need to be in Surreal. Any previous booking and invoice data should be exported so you can store it safely. More information about how to do this will be sent separately.

What does this mean for my future gigs?

Your gigs won’t be affected! The gigs you have on Muso will still be on Surreal, it’ll just be a better booking process.

Will I have to use Surreal and Muso at the same time?

If you are booked at a venue that uses a surreal and another that is still using Muso, you may need to use both websites at the same time for a short period. We know it can be frustrating but please bare with us and we’ll have everyone migrated to Surreal soon!

Can I create a Surreal profile now?

You can migrate to Surreal right away if you wish! All you need to do is head to https:// surreal.live and create your entertainer profile.
