Hatless started as a self-produced, indie pop recording project. they recorded their first EP Defacto in their home studio in 2023, which released in early 2024. Since early 2024 Hatless have become a 4 piece band: Will Bezett (drums, vocals), Matt Bezett (bass guitar), Ash Rose (lead guitar) and Shané van der Schyff (guitar, vocals). The group take inspiration from artists such as The White Stripes, Peach Pit, The Strokes, Julia Jacklin, Mac Demarco and Chris Issak.
