A first-call bassist equally at home in arena-pop, Broadway orchestras, jazz and exploratory jazz-fusion, Vashon Johnson has toured, recorded and televised with a staggering list of icons - Miley Cyrus, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Wynton Marsalis, Seal, Ariana Grande, Boyz II Men, The Jacksons and dozens more. After cementing his reputation subbing with the Saturday Night Live Band and anchoring Disney's The Lion King on Broadway, Vashon is stepping forward with his own vision on his Dead Horse Records debut Tactile (2024).
