Calian

Cal Mckechnie and Ian Galletly have developed their Irish repoitre over the past few years at various Christchurch venues and initally started with a residency at new Paddy McNaughton's Bar in Manchester St Christchurch. Covering traditional tunes through to the Pogues, they started as Cal and Ian but were intoroduced as Calian, either an Irish or Scottish duo, depending on the compares home of orign. As well as Irish songs and tunes they cover a range of alt country and retro rock. Ian has appeared in the Roaring 40s and Cal with the ceilidh band Boru. The dup Calian are Ian on fiddle and Cal on Guitar and vocals.
