Nony B

Raised on a foundation of jazz and classical music before discovering the worlds of jungle, dubstep and UK sound system culture, Manchester-based DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist Nony B has developed a deeply personal approach to DJing built around curiosity, musicality and digging. His sets trace a loose line between Detroit techno, 90s deep house, Afro, underground disco, UKG, broken beat, dub and dusty hip hop, drawing connections across genres rather than staying within them. Inspired as much by selectors as producers, his approach favours groove, emotion and patience over peaks, with long blends and unexpected transitions rooted in the traditions of the dancefloor. A dedicated record collector, Nony B is equally comfortable playing intimate hi-fi listening sessions, extended all-day sets and club dancefloors. His sound reflects a love of Detroit and Chicago’s soulful futurism, New York’s deep house lineage and the UK’s rich soundsystem heritage, while remaining distinctly his own. Alongside a growing catalogue of productions and forthcoming vinyl releases, Nony B has become a regular fixture within Manchester’s underground music community. In 2026 he co-founded Anotherlove, a hi-fi soundsystem collective celebrating vinyl culture, deep listening and community-led events, with a focus on bringing together adventurous selectors and thoughtfully curated spaces.
