Yi is a recently Naarm/Melbourne–based DJ moving between introspective listening spaces and groove-led dancefloors with equal intention. Shaped by a diasporic upbringing and an intuitive approach to play, her selections are rooted in rhythm, texture, and emotional depth. By day, her dreamy and wavey selections drift through meditative soundscapes inspired by nature and personal reflection, explored through her bi-monthly Area3000 radio show, Seasonal Candids. By night, her sets take on a more playful and mischievous pulse — blending percussive grooves, wobbly textures, spacey psychedelica, and minimal acid into emotive, groove-driven journeys.
