Van Leucia

Following a prodigious youth touring internationally and much success in the eisteddfod circuit, Viet-Anh Nguyen (aka Van Leucia) pursued further studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, completing a Bachelor’s degree in Music (Performance) under the tutelage of Philip Shovk and David Miller. Specialising in accompaniment and improvisation, with experience in a multitude of genres, Viet-Anh has engaged with as much musical theatre, opera, jazz, and a wide variety of non-Western cultural music as he has the solo classical piano repertoire typically associated with his degree. Viet-Anh’s voracious hunger for acquiring and mastering ever more instruments, the running of an industry-leading recording studio, and involvement in various arts organisations (both on the executive board and the frontlines as a performer and crew member) has made him an asset to all ends of the music industry, with numerous international awards, reviews, and successful productions to his name.
