Tom Kimmet

Tom Kimmet, a Scot with a strong Irish heritage, has been very active in the Celtic music scene for over 30 years as both a solo artist and as lead vocalist, guitarist and uilleann pipes player in several bands. After a long association with Celtic music bands in Melbourne Tom has now established himself in the Celtic music scene in SE Queensland. He was a long time member of the band Celtic Fusion in Brisbane and has also played with Murphy’s Pigs and Limerick. Tom has had wide experience as a solo artist and has played in many venues around Brisbane, The Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. He is now currently playing in the SE Queensland region both as a solo artist and with the bands McCarthy’s Reel and Ishka Celtic Music. Tom offers a wide range of Celtic and contemporary music from ‘Black Velvet Band’ and ‘Whiskey in the Jar’ to ‘ Brown-Eyed Girl’ and ‘ To Her Door’. If Celtic music is not what you are looking for Tom can provide a repertoire of well-known popular songs from the 50’s to the 90’s.
