The Tonalists are a Soul Blues trio from Melbourne, featuring Hammond Organ, Guitar, Lap Steel and Piano over swamp boogie meets Memphis soul rhythms. The line up includes Mick Coll on keyboards and vocals, Jason Kain on guitars, Nigel Wright on drums and vocals, with Mick and Jason sharing bass duties. Their setlist includes tunes by the likes of Lou Donaldson, Leon Russell, Gill Scott-Heron, Billy Preston to name a few, plus a growing list of originals inspired by such masters.
