Heather, a classically trained vocalist who began performing at age 7 and studied at the prestigious Melba Conservatorium with honors, combines her polished technique with genuine passion. David, a seasoned musician since age 13 who toured nationally with legendary Normie Rowe at just 17, provides expert musicianship and backing support. Together since 1982, they've spent 12 years performing professionally on Queensland's Gold Coast club circuit and have now expanded to international performances, including multiple sold-out appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and tours across Scotland, England, and Ireland. Inducted into the South Australia Country Music Hands of Fame in 2014, they've shared festival bills with Adam Brand, James Blundell, and Sara Storer. Their versatility spans Country, Country blues, Country rock, Irish, Contemporary R&B, Ballads, and Easy listening, plus they perform as the Hip Katz Duo for 50s-60s dance events.
