SIMON MELI — VOCALIST / FRONTMAN Simon Meli is an Australian rock, soul and blues vocalist with a career spanning more than two decades, built around live performance, original music and a deep connection to the great rock and soul singers. Meli emerged on the Sydney live circuit as frontman of Ooh La La, whose Hammond-driven rock and soul sound earned festival appearances, international recognition and a support slots with Bon Jovi at Sydney's Acer Arena consecutive shows. In 2010 he formed The Widowbirds, touring extensively across Australia and Europe and appearing alongside Paul Weller, Tony Joe White, Ash Grunwald, The Badloves, The Backsliders and Mark Seymour. Their debut album *Shenandoah* was followed by a European tour, while Meli's vocals drew comparisons to Robert Plant, Paul Rodgers, Steve Marriott and Lou Gramm. In 2013, Meli appeared on The Voice Australia progressing through to the finals. He continued working across Australia's rock, blues and roots scene, including Whole Lotta Love — Led Zeppelin Celebration and collaborations with Jimmy Barnes, Jeff Martin, Swanee, Angry Anderson, Jon Stevens, Jack Jones and Steve Balbi. After moving to the NSW northern rivers, Meli joined psychedelic rock outfit The Black Armada, before performing with Frankie's World Famous House Band and as a guest vocalist with numerous Australian artists. Today, Meli fronts Heartbreaker, combining powerful rock/soul vocals with Hammond-driven classic rock and original music.
