Reuben Ryan

A local legend in Sydney's live music scene, Reuben Ryan has carved a name for himself as one of the city's great folk musicians. Being a student of the old and the new, Reuben sets himself apart from the traditional singer-guitarist trope with his vast catalogue of classic standards, ranging from blues stompers to jazz ballads. He keeps it current with a healthy dose of Billie and Bieber, infusing modern hits with intricate beats courtesy of a loop pedal. Reuben has been active as a soloist and sideman for years, playing weddings, parties, and everything in between since he could hold a guitar. His first paid gig at the age of 10 as part of a family band ignited a passion for performing that has not yet been dampened. He is currently the lead guitarist for Aussie bluegrass sensation Charley Castle & the Boys in the Well, who made a big splash at Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2025 and have been on the festival circuit ever since. Reuben is currently preparing to release his fourth solo EP, “Seed” at the end of the year.'
