Putrika

Putrika is a Jakarta-born, Dharawal/Illawarra-based singer, songwriter, and electronic music producer. She defines her music as alt-soul electronica with multi-layered vocals and synths, percussive drums and ambient soundscapes. In May 2022, she released her debut self-produced EP, Silmara, which received airplay on multiple Australian community radio stations. One of the tracks on the EP titled ‘Monologue’ was featured on the second episode of Netflix TV series ‘Heartbreak High’. She was also recognised as FBi Radio’s Independent Artist of the Week in March 2022 by FBi Radio 94.5FM Sydney. Putrika is also a music selector, known for curating selections rich in percussive and tribal elements inspired by traditional instruments from around the world. She is trained in different types of Indonesian music and particularly in Javanese, Acehnese and West Sumatran style. She performed at various well-known venues such as The Australian Museum, Australian National Maritime Museum, Club 77, Museum of Old and New Art (MONA), Red Rattler Theatre, The Bearded Tit, Ferdydurke. She has also appeared at Sydney Festival 2024, Marrickville Music Festival 2024, New Beginnings Festival Sydney 2022, and Desert Festival 2022 in Alice Springs. Putrika just recently released her debut album ‘Wanita’.
