PIT is a hard rock/grunge three-piece from Newcastle, Australia, consisting of Hamish Sanders on bass, Korby Essex on drums, and Bailey Parker on guitar/vocals. The teen trio have quickly built a reputation as one of Newcastle’s most exciting emerging acts, carving out a distinct sound while maintaining a relentless gigging schedule. National outlets are already hailing PIT as leaders of a new wave of grunge. Since forming just a few years ago, the band have already clocked up an impressive run of shows, including their first tour in 2024 at just 16 years of age. Recently signing with MGM and working closely with industry veterans Sebastian Chase and Ian Sandercoe, the band are preparing for a huge 12 months ahead. The momentum began with the release of their single ‘Needed You’ in October, with follow-up single ‘Gone’ released in early March, leading into their debut EP ‘Repeat’ due this April. Adding to an already landmark year, PIT have also been announced as support for US alternative metal outfit Helmet on their upcoming Australian tour dates in Newcastle, Sydney and Melbourne. A major milestone for the band and a testament to their growing reputation within the heavy music scene.
