Paulo Monteiro

Paulo Monteiro is a Brazilian-born musician, lead guitarist, vocalist, and harmonica player based in Australia. With live experience across Brazil and Australia, he brings expressive guitar work, strong vocals, stage presence, and a focus on tone, groove, and feel. Before moving to Australia, Paulo performed with Brazilian rock projects including GoodFellas Rock Trio and the hard rock/heavy metal band The Raven. In GoodFellas, he was the lead singer, developing his skills as a frontman and guitarist through energetic live sets rooted in classic and hard rock. His musical roots are connected to classic and hard rock, with influences from Chuck Berry and The Beatles to The Doors and Jimi Hendrix. A major Pink Floyd fan, Paulo can perform a large part of their discography and brings a deep appreciation for melodic solos, textures, dynamics, and expressive phrasing. His live experience includes tribute performances inspired by The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, and Kings of Leon. These influences shaped his versatile approach as a guitarist and vocalist, combining classic rock feel, alternative rock energy, powerful tones, and strong live delivery. Now part of Replay, Paulo performs as lead guitarist and contributes lead vocals, harmonies, and harmonica when needed. Whether crafting clean textures, high-gain sounds, vocal harmonies, or iconic guitar moments, his focus is always on serving the song and creating a strong live experience.
