Paul Buchanan's Blues Xpress

Paul Buchanan's latest project is a hard-driving blues band, playing your favourite rock-blues tunes and some lesser known tracks they've dug up that that will get you rocking. Paul put this group together in 2024 to explore the harder-edged side of the blues. They have featured at festivals such as Echuca Winter Blues, Mitchell Creek Rock N Blues Festival, and Blues Inn Bruthen. Paul is a legend of the Australian blues scene. He has been awarded Band Of The Year by the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society in 2016 & 2019 with Amnesia Blues Band. Paul Buchanan's Voodoo Preachers were shortlisted for Music Victoria's Best Blues Act award in 2021 and were nominated for Best Blues Work in 2023. Paul himself has twice been nominated (2023 and 2025) for Blues Music Victoria’s People’s Choice Blues Legend Award. Those who know his trademark powerful vocal style will know that he is well suited to fronting a band with a bit of grunt behind them.
