Pat Kenny

Pat Kenny is a dedicated and introspective songwriter, familiar with the art of storytelling. The former Australian army officer writes songs that walk a sonic tightrope between Roots, Alt Country, and pop-tinged Folk. Pat’s music success has seen him perform at some of the most iconic festivals across the country, showcase on stages in Nashville, and win multiple awards for songwriting. After a decade in the music industry in Brisbane, Pat Kenny has returned home to Maryborough, in regional Queensland. Pat is an English/Music teacher and one half of award-winning folk duo, Freight Train Foxes. Pat also runs a series of songwriting and recording workshops for local students each year. This program has seen the next generation of Fraser Coast songwriters receive radio play on Triple J, award nominations, and receive glowing reviews from radio presenters.
