OCY

Born in Sydney and raised in Newtown, OCY grew up around creativity, with both parents working as artists and actors. She started writing young, she worked with her dad touring and releasing songs, and she’s been making music ever since. Before releasing her own work, OCY built a career in the film industry as an art director, collaborating with a range of Australian artists including Ruel, G-Flip and One Four. Her music pulls from the sounds she grew up on — 90s alt-rock and grunge like PJ Harvey and Smashing Pumpkins, mixed with the pop she loved at the same time, from the Spice Girls and Kylie to TLC. OCY brings all of those influences together in her project. She’s also the first female artist signed to Westway Records. Her debut EP Red Moon came out December 12th.
