MONROE
Band
RockPop
MONROE are a five-piece glam rock band from Melbourne, fusing big riffs, bigger hooks and unapologetic theatricality into a sound built for maximum impact. Drawing from the larger-than-life energy of QUEEN and Van Halen, MONROE pair arena-sized choruses with glam swagger and punchy modern rock. At the heart of MONROE is the live show. Whether it's a packed venue, festival stage or dive bar, they bring a larger-than-life performance every time, designed to feel like a stadium spectacle no matter where they play. Every MONROE set is a sermon: loud, electric and impossible to ignore. Championing self-expression in all its excess, MONROE wear their identity as boldly as they play it: glitter-drenched makeup, bedazzled jackets, sky-high hair and a visual world that matches the scale of their music. Their debut single, 'Take Me For a Ride', debuted at No. 1 on the AMRAP community radio charts for two consecutive weeks, marking an explosive arrival. Since then, the band have continued to build momentum with the release of 'Bad Bitch (You Can't Kill Me)' and standout live appearances at St Kilda Festival, Mordi Fest and Airlie Beach Festival of Music, cementing MONROE as one of Australia's most exciting emerging glam-rock live acts.
