MATTY G

Growing up on an eclectic diet of dance, house, R’n’B and Hip-Hop provided by his friends’ record collection, Matty G is hard to pin down musically. Inspired by his own love for music, Matty G took up the guitar at the age of 7. It was only a few years later that Matty G discovered the late night dance parties and the capturing rhythms of the dance floor. Matty G promptly sold his guitar to purchase his decks and began performing at local house parties, basements and abandoned warehouses. Now a regular fixture of Sydney’s nightlife / club scene, Matty G has shared the stage with such well-known international acts as Kanye West, Timmy Trumpet and The Potbelleez with his sights set on producing his own tracks for release. Chances are, if you name a club in Sydney then Matty G has played there with his abundance of guest spots spanning over the last 15 years! He has graced the stages of HOME-Sydney, UN Sydney / DCM, The Argyle, Pavilion Hotel, Moulin Rouge Sydney, The Ivy and a great deal more! 2024 looks to be a busy year for Matty G as he starts yet another residency with local Sydney hotspots – 3 Wise Monkeys, Scruffy Murphy’s & Cheers Bar and continues to work on making more music.
