Loose Surface

We’re Loose Surface, a Wollongong-based alt-rock band remembered for explosively loud shows, outrageous nights and an arena-rock attitude. Since October 2023, we’ve played 60+ shows across Sydney, Newcastle, the ACT and Melbourne, including a self-booked east-coast tour for our debut EP Cheap N’ Dirty. We’ve been lucky enough to share stages with FANGZ,Avalanche, FIST and The Pingers. In Jan 2025, we were chosen by Tooheys and Dune Rats to open for them and DZ Deathrays at Beach Road Hotel, playing to a packed 300+ crowd. In June, we launched our single Pulp with a fundraiser gig at Bootleggers in Newtown, raising $1,700 for Endometriosis Australia. Our latest release, Hearing Aids, is a furious and unflinching punk-rock anthem that takes aim at misogyny and the “good bloke” culture embedded in Australian society. It’s loud, serious, and unrestrained, a rallying call that demands people start listening. Produced by Cody Munro Moore (Babitha, Flowertruck), Hearing Aids cements Loose Surface as one of Wollongong’s most relentless live acts, fusing punk energy with a sense of purpose that’s impossible to ignore.
