Kédu

Kédu is a musician, producer, and DJ from Aotearoa, currently based in Naarm, Australia. Her work spans electronic music, R&B, and sound design, reflecting a broad practice as a live electronic performer, songwriter, and composer for screen and stage. She is best known as one half of the electronic duo Kédu Carlö, as well as for her solo work under Kédu, which blends soul-inflected vocals with house-driven grooves and experimental production. As part of Kédu Carlö, Kédu has toured extensively across New Zealand and Australia, performing at major festivals including Splore, Electric Avenue, Two Minds, and Rhythm & Vines. The duo is recognised for high-energy live shows that integrate synthesisers, live percussion, and DJ techniques, and has recently completed an NZ & AU tour alongside the release of their latest single, Fighting. Alongside touring, Kédu Carlö hosts annual Ableton music production workshops, this time in Auckland and Melbourne, where they shared their live and studio practice with emerging artists. Under her solo project, Kédu released ‘What Can You Show Me?’ A dance-focused EP in 2025 developed and refined through DJ and live electronic sets across the year. Alongside her music releases, Kédu works as a composer and sound designer for screen and theatre. Her recent composition for the short documentary Amali screened at London’s BAFTA-qualifying film festival in 2025, marking a continued expansion into cinematic and orchestral sound worlds.
