Katie Weston is an award-winning Melbourne-based singer, musician and composer, known for emotionally charged contemporary songwriting and dynamic live performance. Her professional debut as a composer was the new Australian musical Bloom (Melbourne Theatre Company / Working Dog Productions), with lyrics and book by Tom Gleisner. Bloom earned Weston and Gleisner the 2024 Green Room Award for Best New Australian Music Theatre Writing and went on to a Sydney Theatre Company season in 2025. Weston’s original musical song cycle Falling Forward has been performed nationwide and is included on audition and undergraduate syllabi at NIDA and WAAPA. She is a Green Room Award–nominated Musical Director (Legally Blonde, RENT) and a two-time Music Theatre Guild of Victoria Award–winning performer, with notable stage credits including Vivid White, The Last Five Years and Jesus Christ Superstar. An in-demand live vocalist and pianist, Weston performs across high-profile events, corporate entertainment, studio sessions and venues around Australia. She also fronts her touring powerhouse band in Uninvited: The Songs of Alanis Morissette. Under her electronic-pop alter ego WSTN, she released debut electro-house single Conversation Ended (2023) and is releasing a four-track EP co-produced with ARIA Award–winning collaborators. Weston leads Katie Weston Music, delivering live entertainment, composition, production and creative direction.
