Raised in North Queensland, Josie’s music has been built from red dirt, road trains and real-life stories. Her sound carries the influence of the road and that real, lived-in hard yakka charm, while staying proudly rooted in her identity as an independent Australian country artist. The past 12 months have seen Josie take some major leaps forward, including finishing as a Top 10 finalist in the 2026 Toyota Star Maker, being nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2026 Countrytown Awards, and surpassing 1.8 million Spotify streams. Josie also made her stadium debut supporting Jelly Roll and Shaboozey at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, supported Tones & I in Ingham in front of a sold out crowd, and showcased at BIGSOUND 2025, where she was the only North Queensland artist selected among the festival’s lineup. With a growing reputation for high-energy live performances and a rapidly expanding national audience, Josie is continuing to take her North Queensland sound well beyond home soil.
