Jonathan English

The son of Australian music icon, the late Jon English, Jonathan has been active in the music industry for the past 20 years as a musician, songwriter and composer. Jonathan and his dad collaborated on many projects over the years, including writing, arranging and recording the current theme song for the NRL’s Parramatta Eels. They also performed for the UN in East Timor for the ‘Tour de Force’ and headlined Sweden Rock Festival in 2013 alongside Kiss, Status Quo and many other international acts. Jonathan was the Musical Director and co writer for the Rock Show Trilogy, three critically acclaimed stage shows starring Jon English that toured national theatres for the next four years and won back-to-back Mo Awards for “Best Rock Act” in 2012 & 2013. Whilst on tour for the ‘Rock Revolution show’, Jonathan met Contemporary Country artist Christie Lamb and joined her band. Christie and Jonathan have been writing songs together since then, with all their cowritten singles either reaching #1 or achieving top 5 positions on Australian Country radio charts. Jonathan and Christie have also been a part of Lee Kernaghan’s band from 2015-2020.
