Gypsy Nyx is a solo force of nature, delivering predominantly original music with select covers woven in. Blues soaked vibes meet folk heart and rock edge carried by big raspy vocals that can drop into sweet vulnerability. Every set is a journey intimate raw and powerful. Tash aka Gypsy Nyx has been a full time professional musician for over 20 years. She is an energetic and engaging solo act and a powerhouse lead singer across multiple duos and band configurations. Raised in a musical family in the UK and Australia Tash grew up singing country jazz and blues with her mother and grandmother. She spent five years in an original funk band in Victoria and countless days recording in the studio shaping her sound. Frontwoman of The Gypsy Soldiers Gypsy Nyx has supported major acts including Leo Sayer, Sneaky Sound System,Shannon Noll,Ross Wilson,Kasey Chambers, Dragon, Bondi Cigars, Black Sorrows, Sticky Fingers,The Dreggs, Mental As Anything and many more. She has also performed with Toni Childs, Sarah McLeod, James Blundell, Phil Emmanuel and Bill Chambers.
