Anthony “AJ” Alsop has been behind the decks since 2005, earning a reputation as one of the Whitsundays’ most experienced and versatile DJs. Performing under two aliases, Sugarlips and POSLA, AJ brings two distinct musical identities to the dancefloor. Sugarlips reflects over two decades of open-format DJing, blending House, Disco, Funky House, R&B, Hip Hop and crowd favourites into unforgettable nights. POSLA is the next chapter—a deeper, more refined house music project focused on House, Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House and underground club sounds. A former 13-year resident DJ at the iconic Mama Africa Nightclub, AJ has performed at clubs, bars, festivals, weddings, corporate events and private functions across North Queensland. His ability to read a crowd, build energy naturally and create memorable moments has made him a favourite with venues and audiences alike. Whether it’s sunset cocktails, a packed sports bar, a wedding reception or a late-night dancefloor, AJ knows how to deliver the right soundtrack at the right time.
