Dean O’Leary

Dean O’Leary is a multi-award winning guitarist, singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, until he moved to Los Angeles, California in 2010. Dean’s first professional gig was at the early age of 15, performing with his late father, Jack O’Leary. Jack was a very successful and well loved Australian singer, comedian and actor. From the age of 19 onwards Dean played in various bands in all over Australia and Internationally. He’s won four ACE (Australian Club Entertainment) awards with his own band and as a solo artist. Also winning numerous ACE and MO awards with well known Sydney band, The Zips. Dean has now lived in Los Angeles for the last sixteen years, and during that time he’s performed with Sergio Mendes, Robby Krieger (The Doors), Bow Wow Wow, Maxine Nightingale, Connie Stevens, Joely Fisher, Hudson Thames, Fisher & Thames, Ken O’Malley, Band of Liars, Shawn Barker - The Man in black and many other artists locally. Jan 2026 Dean starred alongside an amazing cast as Jonny O, singing, acting and playing guitar in the musical Theatre production of ‘Addicted Idol’ in Hollywood. In 2018, Dean was Nominated for Best Music Director (99 Seat Theatre) for his work on ‘Ferguson’, at the 27th Annual NAACP Theatre Awards in Beverly Hills. Dean has also released original music, which has elements of Rock, Folk, Blues and Country, that he refers to as ‘Roots Rock’.
