Sydney-based Danté Knows was born and moulded in the mecca of Hip-Hop - Brooklyn, New York. He used his musical upbringing of reggae, dancehall and the heavy bass trap movement to drown out the chaos that frequently occurred outside his window. Marrying those vibrations with his other contemporary influences like Lil Wayne, Vybz Kartel, and psychedelic rock bands that truly inspire his genre-bending sound. His proud West Indian heritage puts the final influence in his pressure-cooker of talent, and as the saying goes, from the mud blooms the Lotus Flower. Danté is simultaneously establishing himself a reputation in the fashion industry with his impeccable and effortless style. He’s been caught gracing the runways for Vfiles during New York Fashion Week and featuring in magazines such as GQ, Rolling Stones & Complex alongside campaigns for Gucci, Polo Ralph Lauren and more. Danté’s wavy approach to his fits conducts an eclectic marriage of high fashion and streetwear working with brands like Hermes, Gucci, Nike, Burberry etc Danté Knows is a staple and leader within the Sydney music and hip-hop community. You’ll find Dantes charisma hosting the ever growing monthly, “Pass The Mic” in partnership with Bodega Collective where they give 15 young musicians and performers the opportunity to perform one song in front of a packed room of 300+ hip-hop fans and industry.
