Damon Smith is a Melbourne-based pianist, singer-songwriter and award-winning performer known for his explosive, New Orleans-inspired piano style and relentless touring schedule. He has performed hundreds of shows across Australia, from major festivals to regional theatres, building a reputation for virtuosic playing, sharp humour and deeply human storytelling. A Music Victoria Award winner, his albums A Fresh Harvest From Old Seeds and Skeletons Skeletons Skeletons both reached number one on the Australian Blues and Roots charts, earning national acclaim. In 2026, Damon represented Australia at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, reaching the semi-finals and standing as one of the only non-American artists remaining in the final rounds. Alongside his music career, Damon is an award-winning filmmaker. His documentary Mental As Everything screened nationally on SBS and ABC, exploring mental health through the lens of performance and creativity. He has also collaborated with leading Australian artists including Ali McGregor and Barney McAll.
