Ben Morgan

Band

Indie folkBluesSoul

A few short years ago, Ben Morgan was busking on Manly's famous Corso, and in Byron Bay's main street. Drawing crowds of attentive onlookers, his music and hypnotic singing astounded passersby. Without a support team, Ben didn't wait for fans to discover him - he went out into the world to discover them. He quickly expanded his horizons - touring on his own, releasing music, and developing a musical wanderlust that has already taken him across the world several times. His journey has led him to supporting global stars including Ziggy Alberts, Ryan Harris and Kim Churchill, and even performing alongside Alberts during his headline show at London's Royal Albert Hall - a performance later released on Alberts' official live album. Raised on Sydney's Northern Beaches, Ben writes cool, cinematic indie-folk - shaded with blues. Songs that move easily between light and shade, in the way the coastline he grew up on shifts from bright summers to rugged winters. Triple J Unearthed has described his sound as carrying an achingly nostalgic quality, shaped by classic American and UK folk traditions, and Australia's own coastal-folk scene.
