Arcadia is the alias of DJ Emily Janus (fka Hurricane Emily). She's been active in the Aotearoa music scene for the past 5 years, having played at iconic festivals like Splore, Rhythm & Vines, Rhythm & Alps and many more, as well as supporting Skin on Skin for his nationwide tour and opening for the likes of Roza Terenzi, Effy, Confidence Man and many more. In 2022, she founded 'Mix Uni', a free 5 week free DJ course which helped female-identifying, non-binary or trans aspiring DJs refine their skills and launch into the club scene. For the past two years she has been based in London and steadily carving her place in the city; bringing her eclectic, high-energy selections to The Cause, Pickle Factory, Night Tales Loft, and Café 1001, as well as sharing her sounds on Balamii Radio. Having originally learned to DJ on vinyl, Arcadia’s sets often dive into 90s and early 2000s deep, percussive and progressive house selections. Arcadia is now working on original music, set to release in 2026. Expect infectious rhythms, pumping basslines, and dancefloor nostalgia.
