DJ Alex Taylor has been at the forefront of Australia’s dance music scene for over 25 years, building an international reputation for energetic, eclectic and quality-driven sets. His sound spans House, Deep House, Nu Disco, Circuit, Progressive, Big Room & Tech House. From iconic Australian venues including Arq, The Ivy, Home, Hugo’s Lounge, The Midnight Shift and Beresford Sundays, to major events including Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, Parklife, Hed Kandi, Sleaze Ball, The Harbour Party and Ministry of Sound, Alex has played to audiences ranging from intimate clubs to tens of thousands. A defining chapter of his career was 12 consecutive summers DJing for We Love at Space Ibiza from 2000–2012, sharing the booth with many of the world’s leading DJs. His international career has taken him across Ibiza, London, Europe, Asia and the US. Career highlights include DJing for Madonna during her Australian “Girlie Show” tour, pre-gig events for U2 and supporting the legendary Grace Jones on her Australian “Hurricane” tour. A five-time Sydney DIVA Award winner for Best DJ, Alex has also featured multiple times in the Inthemix Top 50 Australian DJs. As a remixer, Alex has worked with artists including Adam Lambert, Inaya Day, Crazy P, Jocelyn Brown, and Kylie Minogue & Dannii Minogue, including a commissioned remix of “100 Degrees”. With decades behind the decks and an instinctive ability to read a crowd, Alex continues to bring experience, energy and passion to every dancefloor.
